This is the book where everything the series has been building finally detonates. Aelin returns to Rifthold as herself, not as Celaena's mask, and the confidence of it is thrilling.
The plotting is razor sharp. Every thread from four books lands: Arobynn, the Valg, Dorian, Manon's slow turn, Lysandra becoming one of the best characters in the whole series. The heist energy in the back half is fantastic.
Five stars without hesitation. It is the most satisfying, most propulsive book in the series and the point where I stopped reading and started devouring.
