Psychological thrillers live inside somebody's head — unreliable narrators, memory gaps, a slow realisation. Domestic suspense keeps the danger in the kitchen: marriages, neighbours, nannies, group chats. How I pick a thriller
- Chapter length. Under six pages and I'll read "one more" until 2am.
- A question, not a body count. The best thrillers ask what really happened rather than who dies next.
- An ending that re-reads the book for you. If I want to flick back to chapter three, it worked.
