# Shatter Me Books in Order (Including Every Novella)

The full Shatter Me reading order, where each novella slots in, and whether the second half of the series is worth it.

Category: Reading Order

Tahereh Mafi''s Shatter Me series is short chapters, huge feelings and a novella problem. Here is the order that keeps everything intact.

## Main books in order

1. Shatter Me
2. Unravel Me
3. Ignite Me
4. Restore Me
5. Defy Me
6. Imagine Me
7. Believe Me

Books 1 to 3 were originally the whole trilogy. Books 4 onwards were written after, which is why the tone shifts. Plenty of readers stop at *Ignite Me* and are perfectly happy. Plenty of us kept going and are glad we did.

## Where the novellas go

The novellas are short, told from a different point of view, and best read between books rather than saved for the end:

- **Destroy Me** — after Shatter Me
- **Fracture Me** — after Unravel Me
- **Shadow Me** — after Restore Me
- **Reveal Me** — after Defy Me

*Unite Me* is a bind-up of Destroy Me and Fracture Me. If you already own it, you are covered for the first two.

## Are the novellas skippable?

Technically yes. Practically, *Destroy Me* changes how you read the entire series, because it puts you inside Warner''s head before book two does. If you read only one novella, read that one.

## Who this series is for

If you love a first-person voice that reads like poetry crossed with a panic attack, an antagonist who becomes something else entirely, and a dystopia that is really about control — this is your series. If you need airtight world-building logic, it may frustrate you.

You can see what I rated each book on [the shelf](/bookshelf), and if you want to start tonight, any title there can be posted out pre-loved or brand new.
